Soft Skills Assessment

As you saw in the previous lesson, Careers in Computer Science, technical skills are not the only thing employers look for when hiring a new employee.  Soft skills are a combination of people skills, social skills, communication skills, character or personality traits, attitudes, career attributes, social intelligence, and emotional intelligence quotients that enable employees to navigate their environment, work well with others, perform well and achieve their goals.

Follow the steps below for this assignment

1. Make a copy of the Soft Skills Sliders Google Drawing.

2. Replace the graphic of the person in the top right with an image that represents you. If your computer has a webcam, you can take a selfie in Google Drawings by going to Insert ⇨ Image ⇨ Camera.

3. Move the diamonds to indicate your strength in each of the soft skills. A diamond on the left means low, and a diamond on the right means high.

4. Download the Google Drawing as a PNG. Go to File ⇨ Download ⇨ PNG image.

5. Submit your image for credit

Note: If you are unable to use Google Drawings, you can open this Blank Soft Skills Self Assessment and use an annotation tool to add your own skill indicators.
