Branding is an important part of the identity of a business. Take a moment to think about your favorite businesses. It is likely that when you picture them, you picture their logos as well.
Continue working with the same partner you have been working with throughout the previous module. In this assignment, you are going to be creating an important part of your business's branding: the logo.
This logo is an example - keep yours simple and programmable
Before on this activity, your team should use pencil and paper to create several logo options for the business to choose from.
*Note: It is a good idea to sketch your designs on graph paper, so you can easily label your coordinates when it's time to program!
Consider which shapes can and cannot be drawn using the Processing commands we have learned so far.
You already know how to program circles, squares, tall ellipses, wide ellipses.
Take a moment to practice programming triangles.
Consider that a good logo should represent the brand and what the company stands for
What are the best colors?
Should the lines and shapes be round, sharp, aggressive, etc.?
Consider that businesses may shrink logos down to go on business cards or blow them up for use on billboards
Design a logo that doesn’t lose its meaning when it’s 1” tall
Focus more on shapes and colors and less on text
Submit multiple options for the client to consider. Only move forward with the next programming activity once you hear back from your client, via your on-site teacher, with which logo you should program
Note: You WILL be programming this logo, so please keep this in mind as you design and plan!
